What is LORN – Local Origins Rural Network?

A new Network whose aims are generating communication between local rural businesses to enable us to create more sustainability of our businesses and hence our communities.

Aimed at all who are using their own skills to earn their living in the rural community – farmers, growers, food producers, bakers, confectioners, all the creative artists, complementary and alternative practitioners, engineers, computing and business skills….

There is a great deal more talent and resource in our local area than we are presently utilising to the greatest efficiency. Communication of these skills is costly and difficult. An online community can overcome many of these problems and enable us to build a stronger local economy for each of us. Together we can create projects and opportunities that will improve our profitability and the viability of each business and so the whole area.
