Everyone will have a different experience level and some people might really rather it did not exist ! but it does and there is no way the tap will get turned off now.
So, instead, we can take the opportunities that it offers and make them benefit us, our businesses, and our community.
Communication is always one of the hardest things to maintain in a low density population, but everyone knows that communication is powerful. There are fewer pubs, and fewer church goers nowadays, and the demands of survival eat up so much time. The chances of meeting up in person and sharing any useful information, other than general gossip, become rarer.
Fuel price rises mean that 'nipping' out to see someone some miles down the road is no longer a trivial matter.

The internet changes this and there are set-ups that can be used to create our own personal space.
It is easy to arrange to have some parts public, to enable dialogue between customers and producers and to allow producers to market to the outside world. There can also be private areas where only Members can access, so can discuss topics that do not want to be shared with the rest of the world.
Setting this up will be one of our first priorities, but will need a little funding as so far we have not found anyone who can set up Bulletin boards like phpBB for the Network free of charge.
