Innes Carmichael will share the joys of spinning, whether you have done none at all, or want some pointers to perfect your style and yarn.

Find out about the traditional method of finishing cloth by hand.
Song is an essential part of the process, setting the rhythm and keeping us cheery.
In Scotland this was women’s work, but it was done by men in Canada – so all are
welcome!
Title : Peg loom weaving
Time : Friday 22nd July 2 - 3 pm

An introduction to the joys of peg loom weaving, learn a little about its history and enjoy looking at projects made this way.
You will have the opportunity to learn the basics of peg loom weaving, how to thread up and make different types of patterns on a small peg loom. You will also be able to have a go at using different types of wool and cloth on a larger wooden peg loom and see the potential of the different types of mediums.
All materials will be provided including tea and coffee on arrival.
All ages are welcome.
