Dodging the storm

The forecast yesterday (18th November) was SO bad, with high winds and battering rain, that we decided to move the market to Benderloch Village Hall today.
As it happened the intensity of the storm hit others, Dumfries and Galloway and Cumbria seem to have been hit hardest. But the persistant rainfall here was enough to make us all very glad that we were warm and cosy in the hall.
All visitors were warmly received, and their custom and effort, on such a horrible day, was very much appreciated. Craig, from Barcaldine House, had an eager audience, for his cookery demonstrations, with everyone tucking in appreciatively to fascinating dishes of quail, plaice, and saddle of lamb.
Having an impromptu move to the hall was also a blessing in disguise, it gave us a chance to see what space we are going to have for the Christmas Fayres in December. We have a LOT of stalls booked, so its going to be a bit of origami to see how we get everyone in. But there is certainly going to be a LOT of GREAT products on offer. More about this later.
